Anuschka Pedano (2000) received her first violin lesson at the age of seven. But inspired by the beautiful Romanze for viola by Max Bruch and the wonderful, warm sound of the viola she changed to viola and started her lessons with Julia Dinerstein.  

Anuschka has received 1st prizes at multiple competitions amongst which the Britten Viola Concours (2015) and the international competition “Concours Européen pour jeunes solistes” (2015).  She was also one of the finalists at the Concertgebouw Concours in Amsterdam (2015). In 2016 she received the Classic Young Master Award and the Sinfonia Award. Being a Classic Young Master she will receive individual coaching from professional musicians for two years to establish a professional career. In March 2017 she received the first prize at the Dutch national music competition the “Prinses Christina Concours” in Rotterdam.

She was part of the Gióvani Kwartet, 1st prize winner of the Prinses Christina Concours, and the Tristan Keuris Concours, supported by the Zeister Muziekdagen and coached by Alexander Pavlovski, first violinist of the Jerusalem Quartet.

Since September 2016 she has been a member of the international string ensemble “the LGT Young Soloists”, with whom she has given solo performances at important concert halls and festivals in Europe and Asia. In January 2018 she recorded the “Serenade for viola and orchestra” from Edvard Fliflet Braein for their CD “Nordic Dreams” and in january 2019 the Romanze for viola by Max Bruch for the label Sony Music.

Anuschka is regularly invited to (international) festivals like the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, the international chamber music festival Winteravonden aan de Amstel in Amsterdam, the Wonderfeel Festival, Klassiek op het Amstelveld in Amsterdam, the Spivakov festival in Moscow,  the NMF Kamermuziekfestival, Festival Jong Talent Schiermonnikoog, Jerôme Pernoo's festival "Les vacances de monsieur Hayden' and the Vocal Art Rhein-Main festival in Frankfurt.

She has worked with orchestras like Sinfonia Rotterdam directed by Conrad von Alphen- where she performed with Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Domestica Rotterdam and the Marinierskapel der Koninklijke Marine.

Anuschka has attended masterclasses and lessons with Michael Kugel, Jürgen Kussmaul, Sven Arne Tepl, Alexander Pavlovsky, Orfeo Mandozzi and the members of the Zemtsov Viola Quartet. In July 2018 and 2019 she was part of Musica Mundi international chamber music festival where she received lessons from Jerôme Pernoo, Alexandra Soumm, Itamar Golan and Nicholas Angelich.

In October 2017, 2018 and 2021 Anuschka performed live at the Dutch television program Podium Witteman.

Anuschka plays a 1864 Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume viola kindly on loan from the Dutch Musical Instrument Foundation and is currently studying with Nobuko Imai at the conservatory of Amsterdam, after having studied with Michael Kugel at the Conservatorium Maastricht.
